Autumn is the harvest season. For Chinese people, there are two very important festivals in autumn, one is the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, the other is the National Day. Mid-Autumn Festival is on August 15th in the lunar calendar，the moon is almost the brightest and roundest of the year. On this day, people gather together and share mooncakes which are in round shape that symbolizing reunion, as well as fruits and melons symbolizing harvest. when the moon show up in the sky, people appreciate the brightness of it and miss their distant loved ones.
