This week, Wing technology is very happy to welcome a special visitor from CRRC China which is the biggest train manufacturer of China.
Henry Wang is the technical leader of hygenic toilet seat project(not yet formally set) from CRRC China， he came to Xiamen from Beijing to discuss some technical details with our technical director.
In the early days, the toilets on trains were squatting, and the advantage of squatting toilets was that users did not need to come into direct contact with the toilet. Considering that in public places, toilets were usually considered to be bacterial, unclean, and contactless squatting toilets could bring people psychological peace of mind. But the drawbacks of squatting toilets are also evident, as many people (non Easterners) are unable to squat down, as are the elderly, pregnant women, and disabled individuals. The train operator once attempted to install the sitting toilet on the train, but the effect was not good because people believed that the toilet seat was dirty and did not want to sit down directly. Using toilet seat paper was considered as a solution, but for some reason it made the toilet closet even disordered. This contradiction has existed for decades.
With the popularization of automatic toilet seat and the maturity of technology, train manufacturers and operators have begun to consider using them on trains. Therefore, CRRC has contacted us for customizing the toilet seat based on their toilet size and there was also some special requirements.
Bullet trains require high safety, and any small equipment modifications require a lot of testing, certification, and approval. It can be foreseen that the assembly of automatic toilet covers on trains will take a very long process. But we still have hope that one day, people will use the Navisani automatic toilet seat when then take train on travel.
