Public restrooms are a common facility that we all have to use in our daily lives. Here are some tips to keep in mind when using them:
Bring your toilet paper: Even if free toilet paper is available in the public restroom, it's better to bring your own. Public restrooms are breeding grounds for bacteria, and toilet paper can easily get contaminated. Using your toilet paper reduces the risk of exposure to harmful bacteria.
Choose the toilet seat near the door: Contrary to popular belief, the innermost toilet seat may not be the cleanest. Instead, it's better to choose the toilet seat near the entrance door as it will likely be used less frequently, making it relatively more pristine.
Wash your hands for at least 30 seconds: After using the restroom, wash your hands for at least 30 seconds. This is because our hands come into contact with many surfaces in the bathroom that may be contaminated with bacteria.
Avoid using hand dryers: While hand dryers are convenient for drying hands quickly, they are not recommended as they can spread bacteria from the air of the public restroom onto your hands and body. It's better to use paper towels if available.
Following these tips can minimize exposure to harmful bacteria and have a safer and more hygienic experience in public restrooms.
